Xylophones
The Bergerault xylophone is available in three series, Signature, professional and study. The range varies depending on the model: from 2.5 octaves to 4 octaves. All our xylophones are handcrafted in France and benefit from over 80 years of expertise. Each Bergerault xylophone that leaves our workshops is unique and guaranteed for 2 years (parts and labor). Monitoring of models (maintenance, spare parts) is ensured for life.

What materials are used to manufacture wood xylophone and composite xylophone blades?
Honduras rosewood, a rare and precious wood, subject to very strict operating rules. It is reserved exclusively for the manufacture of concert xylophones.
African rosewood, a common species with a structure and sound similar to its cousin Honduras rosewood, but it is softer and less sonorous. Very suitable for harmony and music school xylophones.
Techlon, composite material based on fiberglass and resin. Robust, very sonorous and insensitive to climatic variations. For study but also for great harmonies on brass and powerful wind stands.
How to tune your Bergerault xylophone?
The structure and striking surface of xylophone blades may be damaged by high temperature and humidity fluctuations and/or after prolonged intensive use. It is then necessary to tune the blades. This agreement can be carried out in the workshop after warming up the keyboard. When the blades are cracked or too damaged, it is not possible to tune them. They need to be replaced. A harmonization of the original blades and the new blades is also necessary. Bergerault offers free tuning of its brand keyboards.
How to choose your study and professional xylophone sticks?
For orchestral playing, it is preferable to take a xylophone stick with a rosewood or ebony head.
For the study, heads in medium or soft plastic material (think of the peace of mind of your parents or your neighbors!) will allow you to best preserve the surface condition of your keyboard.
